97 students from Std.5 to 9 together with our Principal and 11 teachers spent a wonderful few days visiting the cities that form the Golden Triangle – Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on an Educational Tour from the 15th to the 21st of November. The Tour was arranged and organized well by Excursion Tours.
The students got a wonderful opportunity to be introduced to the changing landscape, vegetation, culture, tradition, food, language, history and heritage of all these cities right through the entire trip.
Visits to the Red Fort, the India gate, Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutub Minar at Delhi together with glimpses of various parts of India’s political centre and the nation’s capital was really wonderful for our boys to experience.
Having an opportunity to see the beautiful Taj Mahal from such close quarters was a memorable moment and a visit to the Agra fort was also enjoyable.
The students also spent some happy moments visiting the historic city of Jaipur where they got a chance to visit the Amer Fort and to see the Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal as well. Visits to the museums at Albert Hall and the City Palace were also a trip into the city’s historical past.
The children enjoyed the time spent in the company of their friends and teachers in an informal outing which gave everyone an opportunity to bond with one another and to create many special memories together.
A sincere word of gratitude to Fr.Principal for organizing this outing for our boys, to all the teachers who accompanied our boys, who made sure that they would always be well taken care of during the trip and to Excursion Tours who made sure that all the arrangements were made well and that our children were brought back safe and sound.
We also Thank God for accompanying us right through both our Educational Trips during these Diwali holidays and for making sure that we were always safe and happy.
