International Yoga Day has become a popular concept around the globe and so has Yoga itself.
Yoga and meditation have proven to be particularly beneficial for the physical and emotional health of children aged 6 to 12. It improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capability in children.
Commemorating this annual event on June 21, an event was held for the students of our school that had a wide spectrum of activities organised for the students of different age groups.
In the classroom, there were videos shown on importance of yoga, simple asanas were displayed through videos, a PowerPoint presentation showing the benefits of yoga were presented to the students.
There was also a beautiful display of Yogasanas by our students on each floor. Meditation music flowed through the corridors invigorating the inner self of each.

Certainly, yoga is the need of the hour!
