Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Borivli

Red House Day

Date: 26th August 2025

On 26th August 2025, the Primary Section of Don Bosco School, Borivali, came together to celebrate Red House Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The day began with a special assembly for the entire primary section. The programme opened with heartfelt prayers, seeking God’s blessings on all our students and teachers.

This was followed by a skit that highlighted the values of courage, leadership, and determination, the very essence of the Red House spirit. Adding to the inspiration, students spoke about the life of the Red house leaders – Michael Rua, the trusted successor of St. John Bosco, and Rani Lakshmibai, the valiant queen of Jhansi—both shining examples of bravery and perseverance. The assembly concluded with a meaningful message on the Colour Red, symbolizing energy, strength, and passion.

As part of the celebration, students were asked to carry something red in their tiffins, making the occasion more vibrant and engaging. The Red House students came dressed in red outfits, proudly representing their house. The school corridors and classrooms were adorned with creative Red House articles done by the students, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Red House day not only filled the school with colour and cheer but also reminded the students of the deeper values of courage, leadership, and unity that the colour red represents.
