Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Borivli

On 13th September 2025, our students participated in the Bharat Ko Jaano competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad. This competition is held every year with the aim of creating awareness among students about the rich culture, history, freedom struggle, and great personalities of India. It instills in them a sense of patriotism, responsibility, and pride in being citizens of our nation.

From our school, the following students represented us:

Junior Group: Nicole Dias (Std. VIII CBSE) and Nick Dias (Std. VII CBSE)

Senior Group: Gianna Martis (Std. IX SSC) and Saee Rane (Std. IX SSC)

The competition was conducted in a quiz format, where participants were asked questions on diverse topics such as Indian history, culture, geography, politics, and current affairs. Each team had to answer multiple rounds of questions including objective type, audio-visual, and rapid-fire rounds. The atmosphere was both competitive and inspiring, encouraging students to think quickly and work as a team.

Both our teams performed exceptionally well. The Senior Group secured the 4th position out of 21 teams, showcasing their knowledge and confidence, while the Junior Group also gave a commendable performance, reflecting their preparation and enthusiasm.

Overall, the Bharat Ko Jaano competition was a valuable learning experience. It not only tested the knowledge of the students but also strengthened their understanding of our nation’s legacy and achievements.
