Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Borivli

The Don Bosco Grand Showcase 2025 was a heartfelt celebration of community, creativity, and shared purpose. Held on 11 and 12 December 2025, the showcase reflected the collective energy of the Don Bosco family — students, staff, parents, and leadership — all coming together to honour the year gone by and the dreams that continue to guide us forward. At the heart of this year’s celebration was our original in-house musical, “Onion Rings: A Dream for All,” a moving tribute to the everyday heroes around us and the many layers of effort, emotion, and excellence that go into nurturing young lives. The title was more than symbolic — it reminded us that dreams must go beyond the self, echoing outward to include and uplift others.

What made this year’s production especially inspiring was the wholehearted involvement of the teaching fraternity. From scripting and staging to costumes, choreography, voiceovers, and backstage coordination, teachers played key roles in every layer of the event. Their initiative, creativity, and commitment transformed the showcase into a true team achievement. Under the creative direction of Tr. Sheena Viegas, the programme unfolded as a seamless artistic and ceremonial experience. The evening gracefully balanced solemn segments such as the Felicitation Ceremony, Silver Jubilee Honours, and Awards Presentation with vibrant performances, student-led storytelling, and thoughtfully crafted transitions. Each segment flowed with rhythm and purpose, allowing the celebration to leave a lasting emotional impact.

A particularly meaningful highlight of the evening was the felicitation of the Silver Jubilarians — Ms Neelam Rodrigues, Mr Nelson Rais, and Mr Rajesh Mishra — who were honoured for completing 25 years of dedicated service to the institution. Their journeys stand as shining examples of loyalty, perseverance, and quiet dedication to the Don Bosco mission. The tribute served as a powerful reminder that the strength of the institution lies in the unwavering commitment of those who serve it year after year. Students from Savio Kindergarten to Junior College took the stage with confidence and pride, guided and encouraged by their teachers every step of the way. Special moments — such as the rickshaw entrance of the Principal and the tribute credits video — added warmth, humour, and humility, celebrating both leadership and the unseen efforts of countless contributors behind the scenes.

The celebration was further enriched by DB Dine n’ Bite, the Bosco-style food festival, and inspiring messages from esteemed guests, including Rev. Fr Ashley Miranda and Dr Jitendra Ramgaokar (IFS). Each moment reinforced the school’s core belief — that every student is born to dream and schooled to be a legend. The Don Bosco Grand Showcase 2025 was not merely an annual function; it was a living expression of gratitude, teamwork, and shared vision. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every teacher, volunteer, student, and staff member whose dedication and faith brought this shared dream to life. Truly, it was a celebration not just of achievement, but of the spirit that binds us together as one Don Bosco family.
