Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Borivli

On 11th December 2025, we joyfully celebrated our Annual Thanksgiving Day, an evening filled with gratitude, colour, and heartfelt emotions. We were deeply honoured to have Dr. Jitendra S. Ramgaofar, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Western Region, Mumbai, as our Chief Guest for the evening. His presence inspired us to reflect on responsibility, conservation, and service to society. We were equally privileged to felicitate our Guest of Honour, Mr. Sadashiv Rama Mooliyaa, for completing 40yrs in our institution, whom we honour with deep gratitude for his lifetime of dedicated service. His journey stands as a testimony to commitment, perseverance, and selfless contribution. The theme for the Annual Day, “Onion Rings”, beautifully symbolised a journey through layers of dreams, emotions, discovery, and experience—mirroring the spirit of Mumbai. Through the eyes of a child, the city came alive with energy, colour, courage, and hope, reminding us of what truly matters: dreams that bind us all together.

It was a night when our children showed us the true spirit of Mumbai—brave, bright, and unstoppable. Our teachers and parents are the silent yet strong layers that hold these dreams together, shaping something truly beautiful. When all these layers come together, they become the heartbeat of this great city—strong, grateful, and full of hope. This is the spirit of Mumbai—alive in our children, strengthened by our teachers, and carried forward by our parents. Many layers, one dream—together making the city’s heartbeat shine brighter. Our beloved Principal Rev. Fr. Ranson D’Souza began by thanking God for the success of the day and for keeping every child safe throughout the celebrations. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Fathers in management, teachers, non-teaching staff, coaches, parents, and every individual who worked tirelessly to make this evening memorable. He reminded us that our students are the heartbeat of this institution—the reason we continue to grow, evolve, and rise. His dream for Don Bosco is clear.

That our school moves to greater heights of excellence, firmly grounded in values and leading lives of purpose. “I dream that our children become noble citizens, rooted in faith, guided by wisdom, and ready to shine anywhere in the world. Together, let us build a school where every talent finds its wings and every hope finds its path. May God bless our journey ahead as one Don Bosco family, growing in unity and love.” As we move forward, may we continue to believe in our children, support one another, and nurture dreams that light the way—not just for today, but for generations to come.
