Christmas: Brings Hope

Christmas is a time of hope for many people because it celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to give people hope, love, and joy. The hope that Jesus brings is central to the Christian faith. Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Christmas was a week-long celebration at Don Bosco School (CBSE) Borivali, pre-primary section. The pre-primary section was beautifully decorated with lights and vibrant hues, the hall had an ambience of joy and happiness. Everybody was dressed in red, green, or white. The Christmas celebration kicked off with an assembly. The students showcased the spirit of Christmas through a beautiful skit, depicting the scenes of the nativity of Jesus Christ interspersed with melodious carols played in the background. The assembly ended with cheerful Christmas greetings as the students danced to the melodious tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ and Happy Birthday Jesus etc.
The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. Towards the end of the assembly our Principal Fr. Flovi Dsouza addressed the kids and commended them on their brilliant
performance. Later in the day, a Christmas article making competition was organized where in the children of the kindergarten section participated with great enthusiasm. Children decorated Christmas trees, bells, stars,
mistletoes etc with colours and glitter. They made candy canes, snow man and beautiful Christmas cards. These articles were later displayed in the school corridors for all to see. The children who made the best 10
articles were awarded with a certificate.
