July 7, 2023 will be a memorable day for the elected office bearers for the student council for the year 2023-24 at Don Bosco Borivli. It is on this day they were invested with the symbols of their leadership at the Investiture Ceremony.
The ceremony began with a short prayer service invoking the blessings of the Almighty on the gathered members of the management, teachers, parents and the students.
The lighting of the lamp by the Rector, Rev Fr Solomon Rapol, Principal Fr Flovi D’Souza, Administrator Fr Diego Nunes, Fr Mario Vaz and the supervisor Mrs Charusheela Pujare , set the mood for the event.
Fr Solomon , in his speech, congratulated the students for taking this initiative and responsibility. He reminded them of the legacy of St Don Bosco and urged them to live up to the Salesian values of honesty, kindness, justice and integrity.
The council members took a pledge that they would strive to fulfil their promise and help the students and the management in smooth functioning of the school.
Fr Flovi, our Principal, appraised the student Council of their duties and responsibilities towards the school. The candidates were then adorned with ties, sashes and epaulettes by the fathers and house teachers.
Mrs Charusheela Pujare, the Supervisor, then confirmed their duties with oath and prayers.
The audience cheered and lauded the moment of glory and pride as the captains received their house flags from the Principal.
Fr Flovi D’Souza, in his concluding speech urged the newly invested captains to be the true role models to the others and make an impact on the young minds with whom we work.
