Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Borivli

The Provincial, Rev. Fr. Ashley Miranda, visited Don Bosco, Borivali West, on 9th December 2025 and held a meeting with all the staff members from the different sections. Ms Neelam Rodrigues our Coordinating Supervisor, extended a warm welcome to him, and representatives from the various sections felicitated him with a sapling as a token of love and gratitude.

Fr. Ashley then addressed the gathering, sharing that he always loves to visit Don Bosco, Borivali, as he is a past pupil of this very institution. He fondly recalled his school days and shared his experiences, which deeply resonated with everyone present. He emphasized that being a part of Don Bosco means being loved, guided, and cared for.

He reminded us that as teachers, we must understand the potential of every child—often even more than their parents do. We have been entrusted with the greatest gift: helping our students believe in themselves and shaping them into good human beings who are kind, gentle, and compassionate. He stressed the importance of valuing humanity above all else.

Fr. Ashley highlighted that we are not merely teachers but educators, called to teach our students the values of humanity, respect, and kindness. Don Bosco firmly believed in the power of kindness, and it is our responsibility to carry forward this legacy. He encouraged us to guide our students toward achieving great goals, to never be angry with them, and to always remind them that they deserve the very best in life.

The programme concluded with our beloved Principal Rev. Fr. Ranson D’Souza, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Provincial for his inspiring words, constant guidance, and encouragement. He thanked him for showing us the path to continually improve ourselves, work for the betterment of our students, and strive towards the overall growth and excellence of the school.
