The Don Bosco Alumni in collaboration with the school management had organised a health check up camp for the students from std 5 to std 10. The camp was held on 21st and 22nd September’22 in the school hall. A panel of 16 doctors were on the field from 8.00 am to 10.30 am on both the days.
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of diseases. Given the current high incidence of infectious diseases among primary, junior, and senior high school students, the school authorities found it very important to improve the knowledge of students and parents about infectious diseases which serve as an important channel in controlling epidemics and outbreaks of infectious diseases in schools.
A Self-administered questionnaire was designed and distributed among the students, who got the details filled in by their parents. On the day of the camp, the form was useful for the doctors to analyse the health and facilitated the further actions.
The dedicated team of ophthalmologists, dentists, ENT specialists and pediatricians tirelessly checked every student, clarifying their doubts and writing suggestions if any.
Also, a team of experienced gynaecologists were here to speak to the girls of the 7th and the 8th sharing the importance of personal hygiene.
A sincere word of appreciation and gratitude to the members of the DBA for all their efforts!
