6th July 2023 saw the culmination of a Tri doom celebration of the feast of St Dominic Savio at Don Bosco High School, Borivli.
The morning assemblies saw the Fathers and the school captains inspire the students of school with their morning talks.
The primary section conducted various competitions like wall hanging making, poster colouring and quiz for the children.
The feast day began with a holy mass for the catholics and prayer service for the non catholic students of the school and the junior college.
Fr Mario, along with our rector Fr Solomon Rapol and our Principal Fr Flovi D’Souza, celebrated the mass. In his homily exhorted the devotees to follow the ideals of Dominic Savio.
Through a beautiful and interactive PowerPoint presentation, he appealed them to lead an exemplary life like Savio and be an influencer in the life of the others. Just like Dominic, he encouraged all to spend time with Jesus in the blessed sacrament.
The fun stared after a short break that followed the mass…. The time for games…
The students of the middle school enjoyed the telegames organised for them by their teachers. The high school students along with the junior college had a blast on the turf.
The continuous pouring rains did not dampen their spirits. Football, basketball, hockey and cricket…. The boys enjoyed the short time tournaments arranged. One could see the joy on their faces as they soaked in the raindrops and the spirit of the feast.
At the stroke of 12.00 noon, very reluctantly they had to leave for the day only to be back the next day.
