Retreat/ Recollection for Class 9th

The students of standard nine were privileged to have a retreat and a recollection organised for them by Rev Fr Velasli B and Rev Fr Alwyn Misquitta respectively.
Life skills education help adolescents in promoting mental well-being which help them in the development of emotional intelligence, self- confidence as well as enhancing decision making ability and critical thinking. Fr Allwyn gave a beautiful session to the non Catholic boys on the importance of value based skills in their day to day life. In his orientation stressed upon the need for value-based movements today to bring about reform in young people and in society as a whole and a spiritual revolution is essential for that. He also created an awareness of moral values through spirituality is augmented by positive mental attitude. Young people today must be self-motivated to do good.
On the other hand, Fr Velasli inspired the Catholic students through a session on their relationship with God. His animated talks impressed the students and got them thinking about their true idol in life, about Jesus being their role model and how their faith and belief in the Church could sustain their lives. He also, through his motivational talks led the students into thinking about the religious life and asking the boys to introspect their thoughts.
We sincerely wish to thank both the Frs for helping our students grow in faith and belief and wish them the best in all their endeavours.
