A retreat and a recollection was conducted for the students of std 10th on 7th December’23 from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
The Catholic students attended this session in the AV Hall while the non Catholic students participated in the seminar in the school hall.
The students were indeed very lucky to have Rev Fr Velasli B, the Province Vocation Promoter and Rev Fr Renold Lemos, our former administrator, as the speakers for the day.
The aim of the recollection is to provide the students with moments of prayer, reflection and sharing to have a deeper understanding of who they are and find God’s presence in their experiences.
Whatever the reasons, the spiritual retreat is a breathing space in a setting that inspires inner reflection. The setting, silence and pace of the retreat give the participants the freedom to open up to themselves and to God. A spiritual retreat is a break for the heart and the mind.
With such deep insights, it was very heartening to see our students get actively engaged in the discussions. Some of their questions that were posed to the speakers were actually thought provoking.
Indeed a motivational interaction between the speakers and the audience.
We sincerely hope that they gained as much understanding and insight from the symposium.
