St Dominic Savio Feast Celebration at DB Borivli

6th July ’22, Don Bosco School and Junior college saw a heightened enthusiasm and a gush of energy in their students as they celebrated the feast of St Dominic Savio today.

The day began with a solemn mass for the catholic students being celebrated by the Rector, Rev Fr Solomon Rapol along with Fr Flovi Dsouza, the Principal and Fr Aloysius Furtado. Fr Solomon in his homily urged the students to follow the footsteps of St Dominic Savio, attend mass, go for confessions regularly and above all offer themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary so that she make work miracles in our lives.

The students of other faith had a prayer service being conducted in their own classes through an audio-visual medium.

Then came the most awaited part of the day. Fun activities all the way! While the smaller kids had some games and a movie time being organized for them in their own classes the students from the 7th to the 10th had a wonderful time on the turf. Football, basketball, hockey and cricket….. you name it and they had it! The boys sweated it out on the ground and the young girls swayed to their favorite numbers while playing some graceful games specially designed for them.   The rains did not dampen their spirits!

What a beautiful sight it was with the grounds coming alive after two years interval!

The primary section kids too had an amazing time honoring and celebrating the life of St Dominic Savio with the coloring competition, Wall hanging Competition and a  Quiz Competition, all on the life of the saint . They watched the movie on the saint. And of course not to forget the telegames.

All in all it was a very happy day for the kids as well as the members of the Don Bosco family, here at Borivli.

May St Dominic Savio continue to inspire the lives of all who step on the portals of this institution.
