Together We Build, Together We Rise

On the Feast of Pentecost 28th May, 2023  Don Bosco High School and Junior College Borivali inaugurated the new school building. Our Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Biju Michael the Regional Councillor of South Asia, and the other dignitaries for this historical event were Rev. Fr. Savio Silveira Our Provincial, Rev. Fr. Edwin D’souza The Mumbai Province Proculator, Rev. Fr. Ashley Miranda Our Vice Provincial, Rev Fr. Manuel Murzello Our Ex Economer, Rev. Fr. Gregory Almeida, Our New Economer .

We welcomed our Salesian fathers, brothers, the galaxy of intellects, honourable guests, benevolent teachers, respected parents, students and the construction team, including the Engineer, contractor, and skilled workers who gathered to thank God and bless the newly constructed school building. The sun shone brightly and the new building decorated like a bride stood majestically welcoming everyone. It is not coincidental, but it was in the plan of God that the dream of Don Bosco turn into a reality.

The ceremony started with the cutting of the ribbon by Our Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Biju Michael The Regional Councillor of South Asia along with the other dignitaries. Then all the guest entered the beautifully, well architectured and soberly coloured white and sky blue edifice.  It was indeed a great, grand and glorious ceremony. The welcome speech was delivered by our Rector Rev. Fr. Solomon Rapol. We entered into the heavenly abode with prayer by Fr. Solomon. The entire building was blessed by Rev. Fr. Biju Michael and the other Salesian fathers. A floral tribute was attributed to the dignitaries.

Our Chief guest Rev. Fr. Biju Michael the Regional Councillor of South Asia in his speech referred to our school as a Sign of Love to our young people and the X- FACTOR of any project cannot be fathomed but the result is a product of intentions and efforts. Don Bosco’s grooming is beyond academics and when the bar of excellence is raised a conscious effort is to be taken to see that there is always a place for the marginalized and less privileged.

Fr. Biju Michael narrated a story reflecting “What you fill your cup with is what you serve or spill on others.” “The fruits of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”so fill the cup with these values and not vices.

Our Provincial Rev.Fr Savio Silveira’s speech was heart warming.

The cherry on the cake was the Bharatnatyam dance presented by our talented artists.

Rev. Fr. Flovi D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Solomon Rapol showed their gratitude to all who were instrumental in the construction of the new school building.

The remarkable and memorable inauguration function ended with a heartful gratitude to everyone present. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
